I have been hearing about the Microsoft case in Europe regarding the inclusion of Internet Explorer, but so far haven’t paid much attention, until now, when I heard how stupid the whole thing is.

Well here is the deal. The EU have targeted Microsoft for an antitrust case, because of the inclusion of Internet Explorer. Supposedly, this gives consumers no choice as to what browser they can use????

To cut a long story short, Microsoft is not allowed to include their browser in their OS. So basically, they create an operating system, but are not allowed to include their own software, but instead, they are forced to offer free advertising for their competitors. This is the dumbest crap I have heard in a long time.

This is no different to the EU telling Toyota that they can sell their cars in Europe, but they must not include their own engines. WTF?

Well anyway, Microsoft did settle on this ridiculous case and have decided that Internet Explorer will not be shipped with Windows 7 in Europe.

I don’t care if you like Microsoft, Linux or Mac. This case is a worry. Mac ships their own browser Safari with their OS? Why wouldn’t any company include their own software with their OS? You would have to be stupid not to.
