Well it seems that Windows XP refuses to die. This is good news for all you XP lovers out there, because Windows XP has been given yet another extension.

Previously a 1 year exentsion was given to XP sales, but now a 5 year extension has been added on. Microsoft plan to cease support for XP on April 14 2009, but beyond that they will be providing only security updates. These security updates will run until April 2014.

XP was a great OS and its no surprise that it keeps on ticking. We still have many systems running XP and it will be sad to see them eventually go.
