There should be an easier way to migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7 with the Microsoft Deployment Tool 2010. Unlike Windows Vista, XP cannot be directly upgraded to Windows 7 in the same way. Mainstream support for Windows XP has officially ended as of 14 April. XP users will no longer be able to get complementary support from Microsoft for Windows XP.
