When was the last time you ran a spyware/malware scan on your PC?
If you haven’t been scanning your PC on a regular basis for malware/spyware/adware/trojans then you are exposed to some serious threats.
There is plenty of malware out there that operates secretly in stealth mode. So you may not even be aware that your PC is infected. Take keyloggers for example. They operate silently in the background with the user knowing, the keylogger then records all of your details and sends this off to a remote location. The same is also true about certain trojans. A trojan can sit on your PC and send off your private data to a remote location and you would be none the wiser.
You might not think this will affect you, but once your bank account or website logins have been compromised, it will already be too late. You also need to consider confidential documents and photos that might be on your computer. These are also at risk.
With some of the more common spyware and adware you might get some common symptoms such as unwanted popups, computer slowness and just general trouble. If this is the case, you should run a scan immediately.
Regardless if you think your PC is infected or not, you should run a proper scan at least once a week. These days this can all be automated with the right software. Try the free download below and check your computer now.
