When was the last time you ran a spyware/malware scan on your PC?
If you haven’t been scanning your PC on a regular basis for malware/spyware/adware/trojans then you are exposed to some serious threats.
There is plenty of malware out there that operates secretly in stealth mode. So you may not even be aware that your PC is infected. Take keyloggers for example. You might not think this will affect you, but once your bank account or website logins have been compromised, it will already be too late. You also need to consider confidential documents and photos that might be on your computer. These are also at risk.
With some of the more common spyware and adware you might get some common symptoms such as unwanted popups, computer slowness and just general trouble. If this is the case, you should run a scan immediately.
