Samsung has just launched a beta of its movie download service for mobiles. The service has been released to parts of Europe including Germany and the UK.
With the new service, users can either download movies or TV shows to their Samsung mobile or to a PC. You will need Media Player 11 to watch the content and to sync with the mobile device, but getting that should pose no problems for users.
On this service you can either rent or buy the movies for download. Rental costs range between 2-4 pounds and purchasing can cost 8-13 pounds. Either way, it does look like a cool new service. If there were more offerings like this, it would help reduce the illegal downloading.
There are around 500 titles now available, but this will double very soon and should grow to a lage selection.
