OK, its been a while since we have looked at any XP tweaks/hacks, but here is a quick one that you should find useful.

When you install software or other programs, you may be frustrated by the installers that take up the full screen, not allowing you to access anything else. One annoying situation is where you have an installer that requires a serial/license, but you have it written down in a file and can’t access that file. So you have to manually type it in.

There are other scenarios, but basically if you want to access the start menu at pretty much anytime, just press “Ctrl + Esc”. This will open the start menu and you can then browse to files, open programs or do whatever the hell you want.

To access the start menu anytime: Hold down ctrl + Esc
