I personally am a big fan of Windows XP and have loved the OS for the past few years. So it felt good to hear that Windows XP is getting another extension.

The previous deadline for Windows XP was January 31, 2009. However, now Microsoft has extended this deadline until May 30, 2009. This is essentially for system builders/white label PC makers to continue ordering XP if they wish.

So if you still like XP, you can get your orders in prior to May 30 and you shouldn’t have any problems getting a version with XP. Although Windows 7 is coming out very soon, and this does look like a very promising OS.
