It wasn’t too long ago that Microsoft released some urgent security patches for Vista and XP. Well, there was another bunch just released a couple days back.
Most of the issues are affecting Windows Vista service pack 1 and Windows XP service pack 3. The majority of these updates are rated as critical.
The vulnerabilities exist in a range of Microsoft applications including Visual Basic, GDI, Internet Explorer, Excel, Windows Media Player and Sharepoint server. If you are using Vista or Windows XP, it is recommended that you leave automatic updates turned on, so that you receive these critical security patches.
