The major exploits that were recently revealed in all versions of Windows have been sold in a Malware kit. The malware kit has been developed for attacking Windows and in particular makes use of the recent exploits – it can scan ports and then attack those vulnerable.

The exploit affects the server service on Windows operating systems.  The issue is rated as critical for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 and important for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. More details about the exploit can be found here.

Make sure you have all the latest Windows security updates installed. If you have Windows automatic updates turned off, then you could be vulnerable.
