There is a little known, but very useful Microsoft command line tool known as SFC. This is a tool that scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with the correct Microsoft versions.
To run the command, just type “sfc” from the command line. You will then see the various options available. You can scan now, scan once, scan on boot etc.
If you do ever get problems with system files or drivers, this tool is well worth a try. We have used it to solve a few annoying problems.
